Evageline is going for her Masters in UK!!! So super happy for her! Must be starting to become icy cold now, brrrr... it's so super cool!!! (Pun intended)
Which means a good excuse to pig out and dig into food.
We went LENAS (Bugis) for its lack of crowd on a Sunday evening... Bad choice
First of, our icy water came 30min after we had placed our orders for food, and in fact, food came before the ice water. And there were remnants of the sticker label on the plastic cups that apparently they cant be bothered to remove completely.
Then food came. Jia and I ordered Hot Pan Salmon and Hot Pan Fried Dory respectively. In the menu, they appeared delicious and dry on omlette hot pan, but became soaky affair in reality. The soup broth was really salty and well, wet...
Why would anyone in their right mind soak fried dory in soup? What's the point in frying something really nice and crispy only to put it into water?!? Beats what the cook was thinking when he invented this weird dish.
Then came the kicker of the evening, I asked for an add-on (rice, salad and drink offered to complete the meal.) Intially didn't wanna course portion looked huge in picture, but well in reality, it's the size of a small plate and really salty. Then 5 min later, the rude waiter came up and mumbled " Our manager say cannot". "Why not? "He say cannot" ?!?! What is this rubbish attitude? And their system must be really terrible that when customers want to spend more money they do not allow?!?

Feng's salty tomato pasta... in my opinion, if anyone can screw up the most simple of dish, the cook deserved to have his taste bud revamped...
