KTV + Steamboat

My lap top is home!!! Yeah =) So I can finally upload the foodie photos!

In our "mis-spent" youth, we used to frequent K-box and Party world, and sing of all the misery of heartaches and love lost... LOL. But with the many pocket friendly KTV hang outs, we are scouring the town for better deals! Here's one for your ktv indulgence:

As the price suggest, you pay only $10 (2-7pm) and get to enjoy free flow drinks!
After 7pm, expect to pay a little more.

So far I've only visited the one at Chinatown, due to its convenient location. The toilet there is shophouse style, clean but don't expect too much in renovation or comforts. I think that is its only minus points. There are only 2 cubicles for the ladies, so it's advisable not to go after the session ends at 7pm to avoid the long queues.

Song selection is quite good, not as wide-ranging as Party World
but so far it has almost every song I usually sing.

Dinner up next!

136 Hong Kong Street Fish Head Steamboat 香港街魚頭爐

It's just across the road from Smith Street, so getting there is easy and you don't have to beat the tourist crowd.
Air-conditioned and small shop space means that getting a reservation would be wise, as the shop sees a regular flow of familiar patrons

Fish steamboat
The famous fish soup is sweet and totally delectable, without a msg after taste. Yummy.
I am a soupy, so this is good!

Besides getting the famed fish boat, we also got a couple of side dishes.

Kang Kong.
Don't let the lack of chilli con you, it's spicy!

Cereal prawns.
Big big prawns buried under crunchy cereal

Fungi Delight
The most unique offering of the night. Nicely flavoured by all the different sauces. This is a must-try!

Mongolian Pork-Ribs
This is a dish that really test the mettle of the chef, as to make it really tender is not mean feat. And here, the meat just dissolves in my mouth... haha.. okay, that's exaggerated. But it's really nice!
